Current land area: 11,830 acres (approximately 5,00 0 acres are used for aircraft operations) Shuttlefare.com services IAD and over 50 other cities with Blue Van, Super Shuttle and airport shuttle reservations.
Called the Super Shuttle HQ and requested for services from this IAD location. Was informed this location is permanently closed.
Posted by JamiLee Hoglind on 08 January 20 on GooglePick ups to IAD airport are good. Not the other way round. Always a huge wait time, hours literally. Recently encountered rude driver who wouldn't help in loading and unloading luggage.
Posted by sairam c on 02 December 19 on GoogleVery disappointing experience. The check out asked me to confirm pick up in an airport I am not familiar with. Automated check in but no way to contact someone physical. I called the customer service and they said someone would call me. After 2 hours stranded going around in circles, I was told by them to find my own ride. I got Uber, half the price and picked up in 5 min. Never again will I use their shuttles
Posted by Jonathan Pepin on 08 October 19 on GoogleSupershuttle canceled 30 minutes before my scheduled pick up. Twice. I will never use their service again. Avoid them at all costs if you can. Just Uber.
Posted by B Deedle on 03 August 19 on GoogleI booked a shuttle (2 weeks ago) for 7 people plus luggage, and prepaid for it at that time. Provided the flight info and what time we would need the shuttle to pick us up after our flight. We arrived at Dulles, on time, after a 16 hour flight from Hong Kong. NO SHUTTLE AVAILABLE!!! My whole crew have been sitting here waiting for over an hour now and still no shuttle. What’s the point of booking it in advance and giving the flight info and departure time if they don’t have a shuttle lined up for us?! The Super Shuttle rep here at the airport can’t reach dispatch and is calling drivers himself trying to find someone to pick us up. This is THE WORST SERVICE POSSIBLE!!! They plan in advance AT ALL and don’t care AT ALL about the schedules you provide them when booking. They wait for you to arrive and then try finding a shuttle. RIDICULOUS!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!
Posted by Aaron Malone on 23 July 19 on GoogleWretched. Reserved an entire van weeks ahead of arrival and still waited over 45 minutes without even receiving a vehicle assignment. Airport 'customer service' reps at the shuttle stop were unhelpful and rude; one of them rolled her eyes at me when I inquired about ETA on shuttle arrival. When I went to ask her name, she covered up her name tag and refused to even speak with me. Unreal. [Edit- Saw her name tag. 'Ama' at Dulles Supershuttle station... employee of the year!]
Posted by Christine Yarng on 19 July 19 on GoogleIf I could give negative star , I would . Our family booked the shuttle to pick us up from The airport at 1:00am, we confirmed the day before. We arrived on time, check in using our mobile. We called super S after waiting for awhile. The operator said “the wait time is one hour” ok, we waited , after an hour, called again, the same person told us “ currently there is no shuttle coming in to the airport , we can continue to wait” when asked when the shuttle will arrive, that guy cannot give me an answer. Man, I just cancelled and use the washington flyers ( with help from an airport staff) . Wait a min or so for the taxi. I am currently typing this In the taxi at 2:55 am heading home ... Poor service, dishonest company.. why accepted my reservation when you cannot give me the service .. I have a young kid with me and I wasted 2 hours for the NO SHOW SUPER SHUTTLE ... nightmare !!!😡
Posted by momo ko on 17 July 19 on GoogleArrived at Dulles and reported to the curb manager early. He said 20 minutes wait for the ride. I next noticed he was on the phone a lot. 7 minutes later our ride arrived. WHAT SERVICE. It was obvious arrangements were being made to expedite our service and departure. Luis Alvarez was our driver. So nice a man. And while he talked and entertained my wife and I he was a 100% safe driver. It was an very pleasant experience in itself. We arrived at our destination 25 minutes earlier than expected, safe and sound. My wife and I have used Super Shuttle many times in the last and have never had a negative experience.
Posted by Gary Nelson on 16 July 19 on GoogleThe worst. Had a shared ride scheduled and arrived on time, hadn't even checked in when the driver called me when I was making my way out of the airport and asked me where I was, when I told him I was almost to the shared ride pickup, he hung up. Arrived to shared ride pickup and shuttle was already gone, Super Shuttle agent was sitting on bench, didn't care that I had missed my ride, ignored me for 5-10 minutes, then finally asked me if I needed another ride, played with his tablet and told me 10-15 minutes. 10-15 minutes later, 10-15 minutes more. Eventually he told me it's easier to take a taxi. Have been using this service for years in California without issue.
Posted by Andre Wierzbicki, Jr on 28 June 19 on GoogleI will never ever trust this company any more. I was traveling outside the county my time was at 4 pm to pick up my family to the airport, the driver called me saying that he can’t make it and I have to look for another driver . I called the company they say they don’t have another driver available.I was about to miss my flight that cost almost $7000 for family of five people. I got so upset my kids were worried it was very bad experience. We ended up paying like triple amount to get there ☹️
Posted by Mohamed Al-Abbadi on 26 June 19 on GoogleTerrible service. I had already made a reservation and they have already charged me. I arrived at Dulles at 5 am. Neither SuperShuttle van nor an agent available. I tried to book a service through their app and it said no service available, how ever I have already made the reservation a month ago and they have already charged me. After one hour and 15 minutes I found an agent and she requested a shuttle for me and said it’d be here in 20 minutes. I’m still sitting here waiting while I’m writing this review. Let’s all pray I get to my hotel soon and safely.
Posted by Sharareh Amini on 30 May 19 on GoogleANYONE other than Super Shuttle (which is a complete oxymoron)!!! How much money do you guys have to make on each ride?... You piled people into the van in which I was riding with wildly geographicly diverse destinations (downtown DC to downtown Baltimore) in an area (Washington/Baltimore metro) thats known for horrible traffic. Then your company provided (in both directions, to & from the airport) "Drivers" (that term is used loosely) who could bearly speak English, with little to no knowledge of the area - who would be much more comfortable driving in West Africa than DC. Both drivers relied solely on GPS navigation - What resulted was LOSY customer service at it's finest! TOO POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS: In short, unless you can dedicate a few hours (a one way ride was almost a three hour ordeal - from Dulles Airport to Severna Park & I wasn't the last stop) to get to or from the airport, I would HIGHLY suggest anyone reading this review use SOMEONE / ANYONE other than Super Shuttle (which is a complete oxymoron).

Posted by W Ridgley on 28 April 19 on Googleit is better to use Uber. It is cheaper and save $. Blue Shuttle takes more than an hour to get to the airport bc they have to pick up many people. They should lower the price down to 10/person. If not, i rather take Uber
Posted by Thu Nguyen on 04 April 19 on GoogleI’ve been sitting with my group at Dulles Airport for 40 minutes so far. I suggest checking in and requesting a shuttle AS SOON AS YOU LAND if you are a poor soul like me who already made the mistake of paying for a Super Shuttle. We booked a shuttle for 10 people weeks ago and “checked in” on the app as soon as we got through customs. I asked the Super Shuttle person when our shuttle was coming and he said “very soon.” I checked in again 30 minutes later and he said “You’re the next ticket. Im waiting for the driver to log in. As soon as he logs in you’re the next ticket. He’s 7 minutes away.” He showed me a blue van on an app on his iPad but it’s the same one he showed me 40 minutes ago so pretty sure that means nothing. 🙃 A little later they said “The driver is at the gas station nearby but he’s not answering his phone.” Update: waited a total of 50 minutes for our shuttle van that we pre-booked weeks ago. They told us there was a flight cancellation and a bunch of people had to be shuttled from Dulles Airport to DCA Airport. So just FYI your reservation means literally nothing and they’ll give shuttles away to whoever walks up first and asks for one. Lesson learned. It’s probably the same price or cheaper to take 2 Uber XL’s, we will do that next time. We thought we filled the shuttle with 10 people but the driver picked up an 11th on the way who was trying to get to downtown dc. She had also been waiting over an hour for a prepaid super shuttle.
Posted by B on 18 March 19 on GoogleThis company is criminal! They took my money even though the driver first got pulled over by the cops for speeding, then got arrested for outstanding warrants! I ended up stuck on the highway with no ride. At least the cops called a taxi for me, but I ended up paying for two rides, plus the inconvenience of having cops make me get out of the cab, too, be frisked and wait while all this was going on. I ended up being more than an hour late, and not even an apology from SuperShittle. They are even making me challenge the charge with my credit card company, because they say it's not their fault their driver got arrested. It only matters to them that they sent the car. Don't use them unless you like being frisked on the side of 495.
Posted by Phillip Morris on 07 March 19 on GoogleI would give them negative stars, if I could. Total rip off. The driver never showed, and would not answer the phone when I called or the dispatcher tried calling them, but somehow it was my fault so they charged me. Dealing with their complaint process was even more frustrating. The canned response I got was that since they tried to dispatch the driver, the rest is somehow the customer's fault. It turned out the Washington Flyer was $10 cheaper, and I didn't have to stand out in the cold waiting for a driver that never came. Washington Flyer has my business from now on. SuperShuttle has lost my business forever after 12 years. Avoid them like the plague. Super Expensive, Super Sucky.
Posted by John Everman on 07 March 19 on GoogleThey are not reliable because their business model is fundamentally flawed. After booking days before and receiving confirmation, I was called the morning of my flight (soon before the scheduled pick up) and told that no one would be coming to my area! The first person on the phone said that in this case, they get a cab for you and transferred me to another rep who was extremely rude and said that they don't do cab service in my area (I don't live in a remote area). The rep said that the way their company works, the drivers select which areas they'll do pick ups the morning of, so it's essentially just a matter of luck whether you'll have a ride from them after paying them and receiving confirmation that you'll have a ride (the rep kept saying "well we can't force a driver to come to your house" as if expecting a company to provide the service I paid for was the most ludicrous idea in the world). The rep eventually admitted that she had not even checked for cab service and said she would call a few companies and get back to me. She found a cab, but then at the last minute a super shuttle driver decided that they could make it to my area after all. The super shuttle driver was extremely pleasant, but I will never use this service again because it's inherently unreliable. I miss the shuttle service in my old city that ran on a schedule so you could just meet at a location near you and know they'd be coming every hour. I much prefer that over a "convenient" house pick up that might not happen.
Posted by Hannah King on 02 March 19 on GoogleIf there was a negative rating, that’s what I’d give them...Super Shuttle is extremely unreliable! I’ve scheduled them on two separate occasions - one to the airport in April ‘18 (off season) and the other from the airport in December ‘18 (holiday season). The first time they NEVER showed up and never even called, despite me receiving the text message of the driver’s heading my way and being able to track the driver’s route progress, which is how I saw he arrived at the airport...never coming my way. I ended up driving myself to the airport and parking there for the week. The second time I was returning from an international trip. I had prescheduled the return pick up from the airport. After an hour delay, I asked one of the associates for an estimated time for the shuttle to arrive and he told me that with the holiday, they were all dispatched to DC and it would be a while before they returned. This is when I decided to call a family member to come pick me up. When my ride arrived, almost two hours after I landed, I cancelled the shuttle that still had not arrived. My family and I will never even attempt to use them again!
Posted by Tia B. on 30 December 18 on GoogleBooked my shuttle the day before departure online, very simplistic and trouble free booking. Followed requests to download app. Day of pick up driver was on time. Driver was very courteous and engaging. We had another pick up along the way. We both arrived to Regan Airport on time for flights. Wonderful experience would definitely use again.
Posted by Rae hasone on 30 September 18 on GoogleI wish I could give zero starts -- terrible experience. I was traveling alone but we picked up a family of 5 along the way with at least 2 suitcases each. There was not enough space in the car for everyone with their suitcases so one of the passengers was on the LAP of another passenger. Thank goodness I was given the front seat. The driver used exit lanes to pass cars on the highway and slammed on the brakes many times. I did not feel safe in this car at all and I will never be using this service again. Oh, and the driver made an inappropriate comment about me the moment I got in the car. A Lyft or Uber would be well worth the extra cost of a ride to the airport.
Posted by Lauren Burr on 17 August 18 on GoogleThey were late. They came directly from the airport and I am not far from it yet they were 40 min late. The seats were also dirty and stained.
Posted by Kiki S on 26 July 18 on GoogleThe ride itself was ok but when you book them you are not given specific instructions as to what they will need when you are picked up. We paid for and reserved our rides to and from Washington Dulles airport . We had confirmation emailed to us and even spoke to a person over the phone confirming this. Because we didn’t have a hard Copy in hand ( which nobody told us we had to have) we had to pay for our transport twice! When we called to explain what had happened and ask for a refund for the extra we had to pay , we was informed it was not their responsibility to give it back to us.
Posted by Karen Fields on 19 July 18 on GoogleI booked a Super Shuttle online, in advance, for myself and my 4 young children (and our 4 suitcases) so that we could go directly home after a long day of traveling. We landed on schedule (at 11:30 at night) and checked-in via the Super Shuttle app as soon as we had our suitcases and were on our way to the pick-up location. When we arrived, we discovered that the people who had arrived before us had been waiting for their shuttle for an hour. I called Super Shuttle and asked if our ride would also be delayed. I was told that a driver was on the way, but the rep had no idea how long it would be. I mean, surely you know where your drivers are? Apparently not. Our driver arrived ONE HOUR after we checked in via the app. I waited on a sidewalk, in the July heat, with 4 young children for an hour (well past midnight) for a shuttle I had booked in advance and already paid for. And, for the privilege of waiting an entire hour for a 15-minute ride home, I paid $100. If you want my business 1) you are on time for your bookings; 2) your service reps communicate with me about what is causing the delay and exactly how long the delay will be; 3) your service rep reaches out to me first when there is a delay instead of me having to come to you; and 4) you send an apology email and offer a discount or a refund for the inferior service you provided. Apparently, Super Shuttle is not interested in my business.
Posted by Jennifer McArthur on 15 July 18 on GoogleIt was a cool ride from Dulles airport to Maryland
Posted by Eyong Obono on 09 June 18 on GoogleReally disappointed by the customer service of corporate SuperShuttle. The driver on the way out was very friendly, was early, and was able to get me to the airport. The issue I had was a technology issue related to the website which got my return date incorrect. I specifically recall entering the 26 May 2018 and a 4:00pm pick up time from IAD. However, the system indicated that I wanted to be dropped off at IAD on the 18th of May at 06:00am, and picked up at 4:00pm on the 18th of May 2018, for a international flight to Singapore. I hadn't even landed in Tokyo at this point. When I returned to IAD, all of the customer service reps could say is that the couldnt find my reservation. I contacted the customer service agent via the hotline in my receipt, and was told there was nothing they could do for me. Had to take a lyft home, and now trying to work with Supershuttle to get a refund. What a hassle!
Posted by Brian Anderson on 31 May 18 on GoogleI booked through Travelocity, and paid for a round trip transportation from Cancun Airport to the hotel. I confirmed a 12:20PM pick up time for departure, since our International flight was at 3:50PM. They never showed up, and when we called them, they said they had us down for pick up at 2pm. If we would have waited for them to pick us up, we would have missed our flight. We had to take a taxi, which cost us $70 extra! When I complained to Travelocity, they said SuperShuttle tagged us as a no show, and refused to refund our money for their mistake. DO NOT USE THEM!
Posted by Kea C on 06 April 18 on GoogleFor $28 one way my driver came one hour early to pick me up for the airport, and it was NOT Super Shuttle! They had hired it out. Posted by tom jerry on 20 January 18 on GoogleI got the most unpleasant experience ever. Waited forever, unprofessional people working, they did not honor the time they said they would service.
Posted by N El Ouni on 17 January 18 on GoogleDepending on your location in DC, rides are $30+ tip. This is usually cheaper than taking an Uber into town because of the distance/location of Dulles. While there are public transportation options, they take much longer even with all the drops off that a Super Shuttle may do. I've always had good experiences with this Super Shuttle counter and whenever I called ahead for a ride. The staff aren't the liveliest people or experts on DC, but they will do their best to figure out when you're going. The pick up process is straightforward once you know the drill - book your ride, get your receipt with the car number, and wait for your drive to pull up to the pick up spot, which is a few feet to the left when you exit the counter area.

Posted by no name on 19 September 16 on GoogleMy experience with Super Shuttle has been very good. Good service for a very fair price. In my experience I have found many of my fellow passengers to be quite rude to the drivers as they don't seem to understand that they're not the only one riding in the vehicle and drivers are instructed by dispatchers to wait for passengers to are scheduled to arrive at the airport as well as make pick ups along the way to the airport. If customers want door to door service then they should be willing to pay for it by taking a taxi, but of course that would cost more money, wouldn't it?
